What a great sofa! The seats on the couch have something called "High Resiliency Foam" which is kind of like memory foam but for a couch instead of a bed. It's incredibly comfortable. The sleeper is also really comfortable, and it's a full size mattress. Which is pretty impressive for how compact the couch is.If you can afford it, I highly recommend this sofa.

Do the attached pillows take away from the 80" mattress length?

  Because the back pillows can either be zipped off or lifted above the sleeper, they do not change the 80" bed length. We produced a video which will show how the Paragon sleepers open.
